Local families can take part in the CALA Homes Riverside Park Treasure Trail this coming half term holiday. Starting Saturday 29 May 2021, the activity will run through to Sunday 6 June 2021 and offer local families the chance to win one of six sets of family tickets to Woburn Safari Park.

The treasure trail organised by CALA Homes – the award-winning housebuilder behind 222 high quality new homes at Wintringham – will challenge children of all ages to find nine letters on posters around the park and then put all the letters together to discover a secret password.

Parents must then email the nine-letter password to to gain entry into the free prize draw and be in with a chance to win one of the six family tickets to Bedfordshire’s beautiful safari park to see a variety of animals including lions, bears, giraffes, rhinos, monkeys and much more.

The trail is being run in partnership with Huntingdonshire District Council who manages Riverside Park, which is a short cycle away close to St Neots town centre. Each poster around the park includes a map indicating where children will need to go to hunt for all nine letters. To help eager young trail finders get started, one letter can be found at the play area closest to the car park and Ambience Café.

Cllr Marge Beutell, Executive Councillor of Operations and Environment for Huntingdonshire District Council, comments: “During lockdown, the open spaces of Riverside Park have offered the local community an area to exercise safely in accordance with Government restrictions. We were delighted to be approached by CALA Homes to partner on this fabulous activity.”

Glenn Copper, Sales and Marketing Director for CALA North Home Counties, adds: “Our aim for the CALA Treasure Trail at Riverside Park is to help promote wellbeing amongst local families, offering a free activity in the fresh air over May Half Term. Despite lockdown restrictions easing, it is important that we still apply caution and make good use of green spaces in our local areas. We trust that those looking for ways to entertain their children during the holiday will find our treasure trail a fun and healthy diversion for the whole family.”

Rachel Arnold, from Wintringham developers Urban&Civic added: “Riverside Park is a fantastic place to enjoy green space safely over the half term break, and we hope local families enjoy taking part in the Trail.”
