The planning process

In order to ensure the early delivery of infrastructure at Wintringham, we have agreed with Huntingdonshire District Council to submit a Hybrid Planning Application.

This means that we will be submitting information for approval of both Outline Matters - that set the strategic vision and parameters for the site - as well as selected detail for early infrastructre, such as access roads, landscaping, remediation work and putting in utilities.

The Application that you will be consulted upon formally will therefore comprise:

Tier 1 - Outline Planning
(The Principles)

Sets the amount, location and approach to development for the whole site:
  • Up to 2,800 homes
  • Up to 63,500 sq m of employment development
  • A District Centre including shops, services, community and health
  • A Local Centre
  • A temporary primary school and two permanent primary schools
  • Open space, play areas, recreation facilities and landscaping
  • Access improvements including new access points.
