Delivered by local charity Particle Community Arts on behalf of St Neots Town Council with support from Huntingdonshire District Council, the Summer Sessions feature an eclectic mix of pop, soul, jazz, classical, folk and children’s music, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

The series launched on 20 June with Mr Griff and the Grifters, a Cambridge-based funk and soul band, supported by Passion Parade, Claudia Kate and Quiet Houses brimming with youthful energy and passion.

The series continues with Hetty and the Jazzato Band (18 July), St Neots Big Band (1 August), Graffiti Classics (15 August), Shake, Rattle and Roll (29 August) and The Balkanoes (19 September). Each concert is free, with performances held from 1pm to 3pm in St Neots’ Market Square.

Mayor of St Neots, Cllr Catherine Goodman said: “Our large Market Square is one of the town’s best assets. That’s why the Town Council is investing in events that use the Square to bring the community together. It’s about creating an atmosphere where people feel pride in their town, want to celebrate it with each other, and to invite others to see us at our best.”

Paul Murfin, Communications and Partnership’s manager for Wintringham master developer Urban&Civic, said: “At Wintringham, we’re creating a dynamic place with a range of amenities for residents and visitors to enjoy. Supporting the Summer Sessions is part of our wider commitment to investing in the life of St Neots and creating opportunities for communities to come together. A vibrant town centre benefits everyone, and we’re pleased to be sponsoring these fantastic free concerts in the Market Square this summer.”

As well as the Summer Sessions, St Neots refurbished Market Square will host a variety of special events, regular food festivals and the growing St Neots’ Farm & Craft Market.
