Food Truck Revolution UK will be bringing together local communities over a selection of culinary delights in St Neots next month. Local and independent food businesses will be selling a variety of cuisines from converted camper vans, horse trailers and trucks at the heart of Wintringham, St Neots.
Food Truck Revolution’s network of mobile food vendors coordinate regular visits to local communities as well as at Cambridge station, and workplaces throughout the week to offer a wide range of street food menus.
On 1 May they will be debuting at Wintringham’s school plaza with Pig-Casso’s original BBQ serving 12 hour smoked pulled pork, chicken burgers, bhajis and loaded fries. They will be joined by the Churros Bar selling traditional churros loaded with homemade sauces and topping. The following Saturdays will be catered by Steak & Honour, Buffalo Joe’s and Pimp My Fish UK from 5pm – 8pm.
The food trucks will be based on the plaza in front of the stunning new Wintringham Primary Academy, which is one of the early areas of landscaped public spaces within the development: and perfectly designed for social distanced outdoor eating and meeting!
Stephen Connon, founder of Food Truck Revolution said: “We have been in discussion with Urban&Civic for some time, and deliver a similar service on the Alconbury Weald development. Having gauged interest with residents in the area, we have been overwhelmed with the response, so we are very excited to be bringing an excellent range of gourmet food trucks to Wintringham.
“We will be looking to introduce some new traders, and we would love to support anyone local. If you know of anyone locally that you think would be a good fit, please get in touch with us.”
So far, Wintringham has welcomed around 30 residents into their new homes and another 20 are due to move into homes bought forward by CALA and Morris Homes by the end of June. Later this year Durkan will be starting works on their new homes for Wintringham located around the new Primary School.
