Friends and neighbours wrapped up warm to enjoy an evening of festive cheer at Wintringham’s first Christmas event, which took place around the Christmas tree on The Plaza outside Wintringham Primary Academy.
The local community was invited to singalong to the sounds of the season accompanied by Waterbeach Brass Band, enjoying warming tipples and hot chocolate from Edmond’s Box mobile bar. Visitors were also able to sample the tempting festive bakes from popular St Neots-based baker, Shelley’s Vegan Bakes, who can be found at St Neot’s farmers market on the second and fourth Saturday of each month.
Christine Littlewood, Community Development Lead for Wintringham, said: “It was wonderful to organise Wintringham’s first Christmas event and to see so many residents and local families enjoying the evening. The Plaza provides the perfect venue for outdoor events and we’re looking forward to organising many more as more families move into Wintringham over the next year.”
